Rome wasn't built in a day...

Rome wasn't built in a day...but Kade's sandpit was !

Yesterday, Elliot and I made Kade a sandpit. Leanne had called me on Tuesday afternoon to ask if we wanted some free sand for a sandpit, so we said yes, and went and bought the wood and knocked together the sandpit. Elliot actually did most of it, but I helped :D

We're yet to make a cover for it, so we've just put some plywood over it for now to keep the cats out. We've also decided we'll make a shade sail to put over it because (even though it's under a tree) it's not shaded until mid afternoon.

Today the weather was gorgeous so we got Kade outside this afternoon for his first play. I'm not sure who had more fun, Kade or Daddy LOL.

Late this afternoon we also put up Kade's cubby house. We have a few bits on it that need to be repaired, and it also needs a good lick of paint, but it's up and I think Kade will like it. It's actually Toby's old cubby so it's about 10 years old, has been erected and disassembled Heaven-knows how many times, and has been damaged by other kids... Still, nothing that a bit of TLC, a few bits of wood and some paint wont fix.

We've put it against the fence to Elliot's right in the photo above. I'll take some pics once we've fixed it up and it doesn't look so delapidated.

Kades one lucky boy! We must make a sand pit again for my tribe.
Good luck with the cubby house.
