Another busy day

Today we had another busy day...driving around doing lots of odd jobs.

While we were out we dropped into the hairdressers to see if they could give Kade's hair a quick trim (his first haircut)...they could...and guess who'd forgotten the camera ?? *headslap* Kade was SO good. He was quite happy to sit there on my lap and was more interested in the toys in the toybox to his right than the scissors snipping away around his ears. He only had a bit of a trim at the back and around his ears, but it looks much neater.

In our travels we also managed to find a little table and some chairs to go in Kade's cubby house. When we got home we put them in the cubby and he was straight in there.

He's so funny. I tell him we're going outside and he gets all excited and runs down the hallway to the back door, out the door and straight to his cubby. He goes in there and shuts the door behind him; and opens the door; and shuts the door; and opens the door; and shuts the door...

He's also accumulating quite a collection of 'stuff' in there that he's nicked, like a tin of Daddy's paint; Mummy's doorstop; several balls; Toby's frisbee; the dog's bowl (we haven't had a dog for years); his sandpit toys; a piece of Daddy's car... LOL

So today I gave him his lunch in his cubby, sitting at his new table. He thought he was very grown up. I took some photos so I'll upload them tomorrow.

And speaking of chairs...Kade has learned how to climb onto the dining chairs (and table too if we don't watch him). He has chosen a chair and will sit there with us while we eat dinner (we eat later than him), scumming scraps of our dinner to munch on. He can barely see over the table, but he doesn't care.

Toby has spent the week so far glued to his girlfriend Ebony (no, not literally, but almost). She came over on Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon, Monday afternoon and today too. Ordinarily I'd say that was a bit much, but Toby goes to his dad's tomorrow and he probably won't see her for a week now. She seems to be warming to us a bit more now, which is good. I took some photos of the two of them today so I'll upload one of those tomorrow too.

Elliot finished my Clip-It-Up today (for the non-scrappers; it's a spinning rack that will hold all my sheets of stickers and stuff). I can't hang stuff on it till tomorrow though (to give the paint extra time to dry). It's very PINK and very gorgeous, and I am very lucky that Elliot and my dad were nice enough to make it for me. Yep - I'll post pics of that tomorrow too :D

Oh no, the dreaded gf!! lol...You KNOW how much I can relate to that!! I fixed the problem of forgetting the camera, I just brought myself one that now lives in my handbag..so no excuses...I'll have to get Tori's haircut soon, just worried she'll lose all her precious curls :0( Glad to see family life humming along smoothly...and if Elliot's got some time on his hands I'll have one in beige...;0) lol
