Done some scrapping...

Well, I haven't done much, but I have actually scrapped !

I have made a monogrammed stationery set, but it's a gift for someone who reads our blog, so I can't post pics. I have also made some blank cards to go in it, but I have a few more to go, so I need to get my butt moving to finish it. I am quite pleased with it though and plan on making more for gifts.

Today I made a couple of acetate cards...pretty cute, huh ?



This is just a simple design to start with, but I'll be making more of these and trying different techniques and products for different looks.

On this one I have stamped the greeting and snowflakes in white ink and then heat embossed them with sparkly embossing powder. On the centers of the snowflakes I have stuck some rhinestones.

I also made a castle-shaped mini album for my cousin's new baby, but I forgot to take pics of it before I gave it to her *headslap*

Kade hasn't been too well since last Thursday afternoon when he developed a temperature. He still had one on Saturday morning so we whizzed him off to the doctors assuming that (for lack of other symptoms) that it was due to an ear infection. The doc also thought it was an ear infection, but found no sign of anything when he looked in Kade's ears. He said it was more than likely a virus of some sort.

Well, the temperature has gone, but our little guy is still sleeping a lot and off his food. Then , when I went to change his nappy this morning I discovered that he was covered in a measle-like rash ! So...off to the doctors again today to be checked. The doc said it's definately not measles, and just a symptom of the virus (apparently some people get rashes, not that I've ever heard of it ??).

So...we've just got to sit back and let him get better. Thankfully the rash isn't itchy.

Elliot is currently sporting some new attire...a load of wires and some little machine thingies to monitor his sleep apnea tonight. He has to stick a plug up his nose and attach a sensor to his finger before he goes to sleep too. He looks pretty funny don't you think ? I cracked up laughing when he walked out to the car when I picked him up. I'm pleased that he's had the option to do the testing at home, rather than at the sleep clinic. (edited to add : No, I'd rather he'd done it at the clinic because he hasn't stopped whinging about the wires. I've had to tape them all together so they don't annoy him *rolleyes*)
