Nothing exciting to tell...

Elliot didn't work yesterday {yay}, though he did spend the day putting up the false ceiling in the nursery. He also fitted the window frame, and today he hopes to fit the cornice and skirting board. The cat has decided that it's her room and sleeps most nights on the armchair that we have in there (for lack of anywhere else to put it). We'll keep the chair in there when the baby is born for somewhere for me to sit and feed, or for us to sit and snuggle with our little guy, so Gypsy is going to have to fins another bed !

I went to Big W yesterday to get some vacuum cleaner bags and to have a look at the sleepwear. I tried on the one design of maternity pj's they had, and they really were as disgusting as I first thought. Instead, I bought a pair of size 20 sleep pants made out of tshirt material, and a size 20 long sleeved top (about $8 cheaper than the long-sleeved maternity tops). So, last night I wore my jarmies to bed and was a warm and happy girl.

Yesterday at about 1pm I put some lamb shanks into the oven in a tomato & veggie sauce (recipe is Lamb Shank & Tomato Ragu) and let it cook for five hours. By the time it was ready to serve, the meat was falling off the bone and flaking like fish does when cooked. It was AWESOME. We had it with pasta. Next time I will make it and cook some roast veggies to have with it instead of the pasta.

I also made some packet-mix orange & poppyseed muffins, and some chocolate choc-chip muffins. Today I want to make some cupcakes with pink icing and sprinkles, but I need to find my recipe book first (I think it's packed away in the shed still).

Anyway, thats about all the news from here. Hope you are all well :)

Hi Cin,
just been giggling reading about your PJ dilemma. Glad to hear you found a decent pair.
I love my PJ's and fluffy slippers and usually change into them as soon as I walk into the house at night. Yesterday I found a pair of sheepskin ankle boots at Safeway for $13 bucks! Had to have them. Nothing better than feeling warm and cozy! :D
