Here are the pics we promised from our renovation works last weekend.
So that we can divide the existing rumpus room into a nursery for the baby, and a scrap room for me, we had to move the doorway leading from the rumpus room into the office. We basically had to rebuild the wall before re-plastering it as was really not very solid !

Removing existing plasterboard and preparing to relocate doorway.

Rebuilding the wall so that it is stable !

Wall rebuilt and doorway moved. All ready for plastering now.

Ta da !! Wall re-plastered. We will build an internal wall at about the middle section of the right hand newly plastered bit to divide the existing room into two rooms.
This weekend we have knocked a hole in the brickwork (to the right of the area pictured above), fitted a window, re-created some faux brickwork around the window, insulated the wall and re-plastered the wall. This wall will be inside the baby's bedroom. Here are some pics :

One hole in brick wall, and Elliot's mate Garry lending a helping hand (thanks a SO much for your help Gaz).

Window fitted, wall studs rebuilt and wall partly insulated.

Finished wall with window.

Because the house bricks are only textured on three sides, we weren't able to re-fit half bricks to finish the window properly. Instead, Elliot rendered the edges and has created a faux texture to replicate the look of the bricks. We intend on staining the concrete to match the colour of the brickwork so that it blends in a little better. We think he did a great job !!
