Ignore the time clock up the top of the page, it is an hour slow. Daylight savings doesn't change till NEXT weekend (they changed it for the Commonwealth Games).
We went to the midwives clinic yesterday (Saturday) -- and all is as it should be. My glucose levels are fine (6.3), my blood pressure is "perfect" at 120/60 and she was really impressed that my haemoglobin levels are as high as they are (11.5) especially considering I do not take any iron supplements or multi-vitamins. Fundal height is 31cm and baby was breech (but flipped around 5 minutes later so that's nothing to worry about). The midwife measured me twice because she said the measurement was more than it should be... Something tells me this baby is going to be early...I don't know why ??
Elliot didn't have to work yesterday, so he made a good start with the remaining wall for the nursery. The wall is up and almost one side has been plaster-boarded. He will finish the wall today he expects, so I will post pics later tonight or tomorrow.
I've been such a good wife and mother lately. Earlier this week I made some more 'Coconut Jam Slice' YUMMM and sent Elliot off to work with some to share with his workmates. Last night I made this yummy Hawaiian Chicken type dish with veggies (just made it up as I went along) and then for dessert I made Creamed Rice. Toby declared that he 'hates the stuff' and wouldn't have any, but I convinced him to at least try a bit of my special homemade variety. He did, and of course, ate a bowl full ! Tonight we're having Roast Beef and veggies with Yorkshire Puddings and gravy.
Anyway, that's us for now. Will be back later to post pics of the wall.
Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS to Big Stu and Ange on their engagement (he proposed while snowboarding in Scotland -- awwww).
And a HUGE Get Well Soon to Sharon who has been flown to Brisbane with pneumonia and a collapsed lung, and has had to leave her newborn baby at home with her hubby Rob. I hope you're feeling better soon honey.

I hope your friend feels better soon Cindy!! :(
You must be such a good cook!! I don't even know what Yorkshire puddings are, even though I have heard of them!
Basically, it's pancake batter cooked in muffin tins (or just one large cake tin) in hot oil in a very hot oven. They puff up with a hole in the centre, and you have them with your roast dinner -- YUMM.
2 eggs
1 cup SR flour
1 cup milk
Good Lord!! I didn't even know what a Yorkshire Pudding is either! I've had dumplings...yummo, with stew. hmmmmmm... I think I'll make a stew on the weekend with dumplings in..yummo...drool drool
I am so enthralled with your tallents Cindy! Please come make Jason a birthday cake... pick a year, rock up & make Jason' a cake... we'd all love it & having you all over to help celebrate.... it'd be a great year. You helped me make Jason's first birthday cake... I'll attempt to make more but last year's was a real fizzer (Thomas train) but practice makes perfect, ey.... hmmmmm, maybe...lol
Looking forward to seeing what you do for bubba. Does Toby still have fancy cakes??
No, Toby doesn't get novelty cakes anymore. Shrek was the last one. If he wanted something I would do it, but I think he's past it now.
Did I help you with Jason's first cake ?? Ohh...wait...castle comes to mind (that right ?). I'd LOVE to come help you, gosh I wish we lived closer !
We will come visit one day, dont you worry. And when we do, we will have special cake (even if it is no-one's birthday), and we will go out for dinner, and we will get drunk and be stupid, and we will do all the things that other friends take for granted. Wanna come join us Lawanda ??
I SO want to be there to help you in May, but its too close to me having the baby. I just want to be there to hold your hand when you're scared, and to help with Jason, and to bring you food and stuff. You know if I could, I would, don't you ?
