I just finished these layouts this evening (click on the pics to have them open bigger in a new window). I LOVE LOVE LOVE how they turned out ! As part of the Craft Attic Design Team, I am involved in a Design Team Circle Journal, and that's what these layouts are for (note: CJ = circle journal).
For those who don't know, a CJ is a book that is shared between a group of people who all contribute to the book. Often, families or friends who live far apart will share a CJ to write letters and share pictures etc with eachother. The books are sent on a 'circular journey' to all the people involved in contributing to the book, and may often be sent back-and-forth for many years between participants. The books can be as plain or elaborate as you want them to be, and can include anything you like. Have a look at this site for details: www.circlejourney.com .
As scrapbookers, we have taken the concept one step further, and our pages are more 'arty' than a CJ that is sent between family members for example. Each member of our group has their own book and chose a theme for it. After the owner creates her own pages to contribute to her book, the books are then sent to the other members of the group who do pages to match the book's theme, and they then send the book to the next person in the group...etc. Eventually, everyone gets their book back filled with beautiful pages done by the other members of the group. So anyway...our CJ group is made up of all the original members of the Craft Attic Design Team. These are the pages I just completed for Fleur's CJ, her theme is 'Identifying a Design Team', and our pages had to explain who we are.
For the scrappers....
The hibiscus on the first (pink) page is the cut-out bit from the second (white) page. The rub-ons in the top right are Basic Grey Wholy Cow. The dragonfly is a Jolee's sticker. The word stickers and '31' are Chatterbox. The quote is K & Co Studio K. My name is spelled with Scrapworks Color Rubz. Photo corner is Heidi Swapp.
On the second page, the hibiscus has been cut out of the cream cardstock and I have put pink on the back to cover the 'hole'. The ribbon is American Crafts. I also used Making Memories covered eyelets and Scrapworks Color Rubz. Misc butterfly sticker.
