What an honour !!

Today I received a phone call from Trea at Fiskars head office. At first I thought she said it was Trina calling, so I was thinking "why is Trina calling me and where is her NZ accent ?" (Trina is the Fiskars NZ Lead Ambassador). I then realised it was Trea and assumed she was calling me about the projects I submitted for the workshops at the Quilt & Craft Fair next month.

I also couldn't hear her very well, and it turns out that was because she was on speaker phone . Why ? Because Lyn and Dawn were also there, quiet as mice, until Trea invited me to become a FISKARS AMBASSADOR !!!!!!! Then they all started cheering when I accepted (so glad I didn't swear or anything haha).

OH MY GOSH, what an absolute honour. I have only been a Fiskateer for about seven months, and a demonstrator for less than that. How awesome to have so many wonderful people believe in me (and my work) that much to extend this invitation to me.

I'm still not quite sure what my official duties will be, but whatever they are, I look forward to jumping in feet first. I absolutely LOVE Fiskars products, and the staff are so supportive and welcoming. I also love that Fiskars supports its customers by conducting demonstrations, workshops and make-and-takes to ensure that customers are familiar with their tools and know how to use them properley - there aren't many companies who do that !
