There's something in the roof cavity at work, and it seems to like scratching around right above my head !! I'd say it's a possum or a rat. The first time it happened, my boss was in my office with me and I had to answer the phone. All of a sudden we heard tiny footsteps running very quickly above our heads. It was so funny, I was trying my hardest not to laugh but I am sure the person on the other end of the phone thought I was laughing at him !
For the past couple of months I have heard the little critter running around and munching on something. It never used to bother me because I didn't feel so lonely by myself knowing I had a 'friend' in the roof cavity...but now... IT'S TRYING TO ESCAPE !!
I was on the phone in reception this morning and saw this behind the CCTV monitor:
The stupid thing has chewed through the cables too, so the CCTV doesn't work anymore. It hasn't fried itself though because my boss heard it scratching about this morning. We don't know yet if it's a rat or a possum, but if it's a rat, the hole is big enough for it to get through !! EWWWWWW

ewwwwww!! RATS!! For a moment there I thought you'd taken a photo of the rat diving back into the hole with one leg & a tail caught on camera. They make a BIG mess & cause havoc with the electrical system. Time for some rat bait I think. Buy yourself a budgie or fish so you won't be lonely at work... :)
