I have just gotten home from taking Toby to the airport. He is flying to Queensland on his own to spend a week with my dad and stepmum. He was really excited, just a little bit nervous, and very brave. I am so glad that he didn't cry, because I was trying not to, and if he had he would've gotten me started !
This morning when I woke him up he was already dressed in the clothes he was going to wear today hehe. My brother Brendan came and picked us up and drove us to the airport [ thanks darlin :) ]. We had lunch at the airport and also made a trip to the candy store where we bought some yummy American candy, including my fave; peanut butter M&M's.
Brendan and I watched the plane till we almost couldn't see it anymore. The blurry pic is of the plane taking off. You can't see it really, but the front wheels are lifted off the ground.
Toby will be with my dad for a week, and I am sure they will both have a great time together.

Oh dear! I would have cried anyhow! I am sure he (and your dad) are gonna have a blast :)
So would I have cried!! I have 12 year old Tara here with me & I think of when Jason is 12 & flying off somewhere...I"ll be stashing away in his suitcase!!!
They will have a great time, but you'll always be on his mind.
