Facebook

I used to have a Facebook account...then I closed it because all the notifications and requests were driving me NUTS. Then...I went and reactivated it because a friend overseas had a baby. Since I've been back on it I've started enjoying it more. The reqests and notifications still drive me nuts but now I just ignore most of them {sorry everyone}, but I've found SO many old friends, it's awesome !

In the past week I've found my oldest friend Michelle after losing contact with her almost 17 years ago. Michelle used to live down the road from us when I was little and I can't remember her and her brothers ever not being there. Her brother Jason was the first boy I ever kissed, and I was probably about five *blush*. Even when we moved to Queensland we stayed together because her family followed soon after. When Michelle had her first baby she named her after me (what an honour), and until the other day I hadn't even seen a photo of Cindy. We have loads of catching up to do and I'm really looking forward to it.

I also found the girl who I shared a room with when I had Toby. Rita had her daughter Jacinta the day after I had Toby. We used to see eachother reasonably regularly but lost contact when we both moved houses, so after about 13 years we're back in contact.

There've been a few surprise finds too...but it's all good :) The weirdest thing is seeing how much older {and fatter haha) everyone is 15 or so years down the track. Ahhh...to be 18 again LOL.

So, are you on Facebook yet ? If you aren't it's definately a good place to start looking for someone you've been missing. Good luck !

The application request drove me nuts too and at first I felt obligated to accept but now I just ignore the ones I don't care for, no matter how much I love my friends who send them! :)

I have myspace too, but my kids are my only friends on there so I don't go there much LOL.

Awwww... I have MSN Myspace going... & it's only family (if that) who visit!! It's meant to be for my Mum & siblings to read at their liesure & see photos of what I'm doing. I have a facebook account but rarely use it as it seems daft to have so many notifications for useless applications. I have no-one I have a need to get in touch with & I'd be most supprised if anyone wanted to get in touch with me.

Hey they girlfriend,
I love the social side of Facebook, bt it's so true about the notifications, they drive me a bit crazy too. Let's make a pact. I won't be offended if you don't. hehe
Take care - hope to catch up with you soon
