Well...in case you hadn't noticed, I've given my blog a facelift to reflect our changed family situation. I've made it a bit girly because, well...because I could ! I need to do a photo shoot of the boys for Christmas, so when I do that I'll attempt to take a somewhat-decent photo of the three of us together to use as our header picture.
I went out with {my twin sister} Kim last night to see Noiseworks (Aussie band that was big in the 80's for anyone who doesn't know). It was the first time I have been out without a partner since I was probably about 18 or 19 - certainly before I became a mum. It was also the first time I have been out at all for about 6 years ! Needless to say, I felt a little like a fish out of water.
The music was great, but I have never felt comfortable in a club environment. I don't like crowds either and it was a sold-out show with probably a couple of hundred people there. Because I don't really drink I find it extremely uncomfortable to be around people who are drunk. Kimmy got a little tipsy and did her best to fill me with booze, but I just can't let myself go like that because I like knowing that I am in control. Still...I made the effort to go and have a good time, and I had 3 drinks in the 5ish hours I was out.
To be honest, I can't see myself going out like that again any time soon...sad aren't I ? Thanks though to my darling sister for effort *hug*
Oh...and thankyou to my girlfriends Karen, Sarah & Vesna for joining Kade and me for lunch at 'Stacks Pancake Bar' on Friday. I so appreciate and treasure your friendship and support ~ thank you ! We had a lovely afternoon and some great food. I will definately be going back there again and recommend it to anyone looking for some good food at a great price.

I love the facelift - very you! I'm with you on the crowds and club thing, I soooo never liked them (and still don't!), but hey, you have to try them once in a while and make sure it's still the case!

Stacks was a very pleasant place for lunch - good food and great company! Need to try the sweet pancakes next time. Kade and Harry were so well behaved.
I can't handle the big crowds and drunken behaviour these days either - funy how things change as you get older.
