Last week I went into Fiskars head office to drop off the paper bows I made for the advanced classes at the Craft & Quilt Fair in two weeks time (see post below). While I was there Trea and Pip gave me even more new products to play with. I really need to get scrapping !! From there the boys and I drove another hour-ish to see my grandparents. It's such a long trip for a day, especially when Toby or I have work of a night, so we don't get there nearly as often as we'd like. We took another route this time and travelled along Beach Road (yes, it runs right next to the beach) to Port Melbourne, then across the Westgate Bridge and onwards. It wasn't much quicker but it was WAYYYY less stressful and such a beautiful view - I think I'll go that way from now on.
Our next door neighbours, Daniel & Eileen had their second baby daughter last week. Little Jemma arrived safe and well, and 8 days early ! Eileen came home about 10 hours after giving birth (by choice). I made them a special gift using some of the gorgeous new papers and products from Heidi Grace that I got last week. I can't share pics of it yet, but stay tuned...
Elliot pinched a nerve in his neck a week or so ago and Monday he could barely move. We went to the physio on Monday night and he had yesterday off work. He was supposed to be off today too but decided he was well enough to go. I imagine we'll have the hot & cold packs working overtime tonight.
It's been a bit quiet on the prize front and I'm still waiting for my American Gangster DVD, though last week I did receive a Sewline 'Fabric Glue Pen' from Living Creatively, and today Brian (our delivery man) delivered a bottle of 'Garnier Skin Renewal Cream' from Marie Claire magazine.

Kade and I did some baking yesterday - his first time cooking ! He made gingerbread men (and cars, and stars, and teddies) and I made gingerbread cookies. We made them from scratch so he got a little restless waiting for me to meausre the ingredients, but he did SO well ! I was really surprised at how well he did actually. He only made a little bit of a mess and did exactly what I told him. I took pics but haven't taken them off the camera yet...will do that later and post them here.
I hope that this week finds you all well !

Can't believe how quickly he's growing up! Quite a little man now.
I drive that way to St Kilda for work each day for the same reason.
Clever Kade.
