No work for me tonight (Anne couldn't work last Thursday, so we swapped shifts this week) so I'm cooking a yummy Sunday roast !! Mmmmm....roast chicken in the slow cooker. Elliot's mate Jim and his wife Sue are coming for dinner, which will be nice as they are always good company. We bought dips, kabana and camembert today too, so it'll all be a bit posh LOL.
Kade has been a bit of a nightmare the past few days. We think he may be getting his 2-year-old molars, and last night while eating dinner he told me 'teeth sore'. When I asked him where, he shoved his hand in his mouth and indicated in the back somewhere. I've tried feeling his gums but he just bites me LOL.
Yesterday he fell over and knocked his chin and bit his tongue. There wasn't much blood and I actually couldn't see where it was coming from, but today he has a lovely lump on the side of his tongue. Poor thing.
A couple of weeks ago Lyn sent me some Heidi Grace 'Vineyard' papers and bits-and-pieces that were leftover from our Fiskars stand at the Stitches & Craft show. I decided that there was way too much for me to use myself, so sometime over the next few weeks I will be having a little make-and-take at home. I have invited my mums, my sister, and my bestie (Leanne) for a few hours of crafting. I will also use the opportunity to show them how to use their Fiskars Shape Cutters correctly. I am really looking forward to it, and hope to be able to confirm the date this week. Here is a little sneak peek at what we will be making :

Oh...does anyone like CUPCAKES ??? If, like me, you are 'into' all things cupcakes, you'll LOVE this blog.
And if, like me, you also love CUTE things, then check out this blog which features soooo many cute little handmade toys. I found the site after coming across a pic of this little cutie :
Kade loved it so much he was kissing my laptop screen, haha. I have started to make him one, but it's looking a bit lop-sided. I am making it from suede, which I have since discovered won't sew well with my machine, which means I have to hand sew it - UGH. By the time it's finished I think it will look more like roadkill so I'm thinking maybe I should buy some felt and start from scratch...
Anyway...I hope you all have/have had a great weekend !

Sounds like a fun way to use up the scraps. Got to check out the cupcake site when I get a minute - love my cupcake collection. And that little toy is SOOO cute - I would have to make it too. (But I wouldn't even try to machine sew it!)
Catch up soon
Poor Kade, I can't get over how many scrapes and bruises little boys get. So many more than girls.
The roast chicken sounds yum and the friands looked delicious too.
As a non-baker I'm always really impressed with your cooking.
Take care, hope Kades' gums feel better soon.
