We're still here !!

I've had a few emails and queries from people wondering what on earth has happened seeing as I haven't updated our blog for a couple of weeks....well, I can assure you, we're all well, we just haven't had much news.

Since he's been off work Elliot and I have spent a lot of time together doing 'stuff' and doing not-too-much-at-all. I've been taking him to job interviews and doing general running-around. Being the only driver is driving me crazy and I'll be glad when Elliot gets his licence back !

I've attended two card classes yippee (you've seen the results of the first class in a previous post), and last Sunday I went to Paperific at Docklands with Judy. We had a lovely day out together - something we haven't done in forever; we spent lots of money; and we pigged out on double scoop icecreams and hot jam donuts. I got to see the girls from Remember When and pick up my copies of the lasercuts I have designed but didn't yet have copies of. My 'Jingle Bells Trees' were completely sold out ~ woo hoo ~ so I didn't get one of those, but I'm thrilled that they've sold so well. I've had three design requests already this week too, which is great.

Elliot has done loads of work on his car; fixed the door and the broken weatherboards on Kade's cubby; made my clip-it-up and completely sanded and repainted my new scraproom cupboard. I've almost finished tidying up my scraproom, and when it's done I'll post some pics. My cupboard is really pretty....cream with pink glass knobs.

I got a payrise at my job, but I may have to give it up (boo hoo) because Elliot started a new job today. He's working at VisyPak in Moorabbin (about half hour's drive away). We still don't know what hours he'll be working, but he went in to it with the assumption that it'd be 12-hour shifts; 2 days on, 2 nights on and then 4 days off. If it turns out that way it will be too much to ask people to babysit Kade all the time, and too much to ask the other girls at work to continually juggle shifts to suit me, so I'll quit.

The kids are both good. Toby is still going out with Ebony and I swear he looks older every week when he comes home from his dad's. Kade is right into penguins at the moment and points at his Pingu DVD and does his penguin impression to tell us he wants to watch the DVD. His 'latest' is his attempt at karate...he says "hayyyy yah !" and waves his hands around - very cute.

Anyway...better go... Will try not to leave it solong between posts next time :D
