Still sippin'

Well, Kade is going great guns with his drinking from a straw. I bought him a sports bottle with a built-in straw yesterday and he LOVES it.

He's really becoming so clever... Tonight he was in need of a nappy change and Elliot signed to him and asked if he needed a change. Kade started nodding, doing the sign himself (as best he can) and went straight to the cupboard where the nappies are kept.

Toby went to the movies yesterday with Craig (my friend Leanne's son) and Luke (my friend Tracey's son) and they saw the new Harry Potter movie. I haven't really heard much about it from him, but as far as I can tell, he enjoyed it. Both Toby and Luke then stayed overnight at Leanne's, and this morning we all went 10 pin bowling.

Kade's photo seems to be getting hundreds if votes ! LOADS of people have let me know that they have voted, some as much as 20 times each ! So THANK YOU :) You can be sure I'll let you know how we go.

I have entered the same photo (as well as others) into this year's Smile With Centro competition. I entered last year but my photo wasn't selected as a finalist (though my friend Will's was *yay Will*). Keep your fingers crossed that we are selected this year.

The Best Local Photo in each of the 59 participating centres wins a Sony Cyber-shot camera and Picture Station Photo Printer. The photo judged 'National Winner' from the top 20 finalists in each participating centre wins $10,000 cash. If you are selected as one of the 20 photo finalists your photograph will be showcased in the 'Smile with Centro' photographic exhibition from the 13th - 31st of August at your local centre and you can keep the professionally mounted photo once the photo exhibition closes.

So anyway...I'll let you know how we go with that too. I think entries close on the 27th or thereabouts.

Your blog is such an interesting read. Am glad when I can get here.

Happy belated birthday to Elliot & what a fabulous gift idea. We're so fussy with our drinks, I don't know if it's worth us getting customized drinks for us but could for my Dad's 70th, ey. I'll mention your name if asked so hopefully you'll benefit from the promoting.
I reckon the photo of Kade in your blog title aught to be submitted too... I can see quite a few photos of Kade that are very worthy of a prize.
Yikko!! Poor Kade, knocking his tooth. Kids are so resilient though & it doesn't look to be fazing him. I'm sure it will right itself. Good thing it's a baby tooth that will come out eventually anyway. Hope it hasn't done damage to the underlying tooth.
LOL... isn't it always the way! buy something only to find the other turn up just a little bit later. Patience girl... patience... HA! Now you have yourself two totes that will be very useful. The tote you show here looks gorgeous. I'm not allowed to buy stuff now... I have to use what I have... buying books for the kids at the moment... that's enough.
LOVE the 4 colourful pictures of Kade. They look bright, cheery & the little man's laughter is also infectous.. I can hear it now...
OMG! What a cabinet! My mum has a kitchen cabinet (painted ghastly blue, but that's fixable) all the way over in WA... but it's not as fancy or useful as this one! I feel your sorrow over missing out on this...so would I be.
We celebrated Friday 13th with a little after school party. I served the kids up compost worms. HA HA HA HA HA HA. They thought they were getting icecream! HA HA HA HA HA. Then I served some spiders, chocolate one's & drink type one's...lol. Had them put thier hand into bags of texture suprises. One was egg shells, another was cotton balls & the 3rd was slime. Even the parents had a go & gave the kids a good laugh. Bummer about your phone but I still don't think it was because of Friday 13th.
I've always known Kade is clever. He has great genes taken from his parents. Kids are getting smarter, I'm sure. I know Jason will need to be smart to assist his brain thick mother! lol

Good going Toby on your school report. It's the teen age thing, not applying himself... he'll do well no matter what.

Hurry up & post the photos of your hair!!

Hope you are over the dizzies by now & have finally gotten rid of all traces of the cold. I can gladly say I think we've finally beaten the flu. Not a nice thing to have...& for it to linger so long!

Looking forward to your next update, when I remember to get here.

I have been voting everytime I get on my puter :) He is such a doll. I love it when they start knowing what is going on. It is too cute.
