A big cooking day yesterday...
I made a cake, roast dinner, Banoffi Pie and some homemade Pods.
For dinner we had roast beef, veggies and Yorkshire Puddings, and for dessert I made Banoffi Pie. I've never made (or eaten) it before and it was YUM. Shock horror - Elliot actually had a second helping of pie, though to be fair, they were small slices (for those who don't know, Elliot does not have a sweet tooth).
This is my pie...doesn't it look YUMMY ?

If anyone wants the recipe, you can get the original recipe HERE . I cheated by buying a ready-made, frozen pie crust (hence the foil pie plate). Also, I did not put coffee in the cream or sprinkle it over the top as the recipe suggests ~ I grated some chocolate over the top instead. I also didn't slice the bananas lengthways; I sliced them into rounds and layered them like this (that is not my pie, but mine did look like that under the cream) :
I used some of the leftover banoffi toffee to make the homemade Pods (which are these things in case you don't know). I didn't put chocolate on mine though because I didn't have time. Mine are gingernut snaps biscuits filled with banoffi toffee ~ Toby was very impressed ! He's taken half a dozen to school today, and I imagine he'll want to take the rest tomorrow to share with his mates.
