The school called me at about 1pm this afternoon and asked if I could come and collect Toby as he had had a bit of an accident which resulted in a bump on his head. Well...I wouldn't quite call it a bump, more like a speed hump ! Check it out :
No concussion so far, and he didn't hit the back of his head so there shouldn't be any internal injury, but I'd make it a fair bet that he'll have a nice bruise and possibly nice black eyes. He did it when he and his mates were mucking around (isn't that always the way ? ~ boys !).

OMG Cindy - that is frightful! My heart leapt out of my chest when I saw the photo with the ruler. Hope he settles for a few days LOL - guess boys will be boys!
OH NO!! THAT is a huge goose egg!! That had to hurt!! He looks like he is taking it in stride :)
He's off to school today and hasn't had a headache at all (??). The lump is more rounded all over now and not defined like in those pics. The colour is starting to change too.
omg cindy that looks awful. Glad to hear there's been no adverse effects. It looks so sore poor thing.

I can symapthise Toby..when I was in Year 7 there was a boy who wanted to meet me...so he threw a brick to get my attention, sadly it hit me in the head (a little lower on my temple I wouldn't be telling this story). Now that was an egg to remember..and I still do...** years later (yes we became friends, but he never lived it down)
