We got one !! We finally managed to get some pics of Kade smiling -- woo hoo !
This is the best one (taken 03-08-06). He actually does smile properly but the lag on the camera means he's stopped before the camera goes 'click' grrr :

And here are some other pics...
Laughing at my Daddy :

Kisses from Mummy :

And here are some pics from our night away last weekend :
View out our window and from the balcony. Our cabin was on a cliff, so just walk down the stairs and you're on the beach !

A little crab we found on the beach...

Toby with a wild bird who decided to share his lunch when we stopped at a roadside BBQ area.

All is well here, though all three of my boys have colds. Surprisingly, Kade has been really cheerful considering he has a snuffly nose and a cough. I am yet to get it, so keep your fingers crossed that I don't !
Kade's colic seems to be under control. We put him onto an anti-colic formula last week and he has only had one 10-minute colic attack since. We see the heath nurse next week and we'll ask her what to do about breast feeding. I don't want to stop, but I also don't want Kade to be in pain (even regular formula causes him trouble). In the meantime I have been expressing and freezing my milk to keep supply up (though I think its dwindling anyway *sigh* -- Lawanda, you're the lactation consultant...help ??).
We went shopping today and bought a few baby things. We got Kade a play gym. We also got a forehead thermometer (only takes a couple of seconds to read temperature); a Baby Bjorn baby carrier (was on special for $109) because I am limited to when and where I can go out seeing as I can't get the pram into and out of my car easily; a box of nappies (because they were on special too) and some breastmilk bags (for freezing milk).
Now that I can get out-and-about with Kade easily I plan on going shopping next week sometime to get some jeans (wanna come with me Will ?). I am sick of feeling fat and frumpy in maternity pants (held tight with a safety pin coz they are too big) or tracksuit pants. I keep trying on the jeans in my wardrobe hoping that my body will magically be a size 12 again...but no...it's not. I emailed Baby Bootcamp and they haven't replied, so I will have to find a phone number and call instead I think. If I don't do something I fear that I am destined to look like I just gave birth for the rest of my life...
Anyway, that's about it from us for now. Have a great day !!

Love the pics of Kade. I so know how you are feeling re frumpy about yourself after birth etc. I have nearly lost all my pregancy weight from the 3 pregancies (don't have 3 in just over 2 years, way to hard to lose the weight!) and it is a bonus to be able to fit back into size 12 again!
Hope you find what you are looking for.
You offically have the cutest baby ever..omg...I so love the pictures you got ...they are awesome..
and the getaway pics are beautiful..I want to move there..miss you lots.
the pic of you kissing kade brought me to tears cindy - what a gorgeous "scrappable" pic.
have a great sunday
xo
What lovely photos of Kade and the family. Love the pic of mummy kissing Kade.
Too cute!! I so agree that Kade is the cutest baby around just now. He's adoreable. I remember catching Jason's smile... Once he started, he didn't stop & even started giggling. So fun. Too funny, the things we do to our children... making him look like a telletubby...LOL Elliot is enough to get anyone cackling themselves..he he he (having a dig at you there Elliot)
Good on you's for getting away for a weekend. Danged if I'd touch a crab! gyik!
Took me 2 & a half years to get rid of my preggy weight!! You're on the right track to buy clothes that don't make you feel frumpy & eventually, you'll be back in your size 12. uh huh, yes indeedy. You can do it 'cause you have the determination & want to get back there. Unless baby # 3 comes along sooner than expected..lol
I'd love for the sea between us to be shorter & not so trecherous so I can visit you more often.
Loving these updates... thanks for the email reminder.
would ya look at that kid
OHHHH I just wanna eat him
he is so cute
Lov seeing th oics of him
rxoxox
Cindy, I would prolly tell you to breastfeed in the mornings at least.... pumping during the later feedings...and give him the formula later in the day, when the colic might set in. But I don't know if it would help or not. Kela was a collicky baby. I just breastfed her constantly...pretty much non-stop, literally...but she was on formula by the time she was 6 months old too, and completely weaned at 7 months, so...not a lot of advice! Sorry!
At any rate, Kade is a DOLL!!! I love the pics! I really love the teletubby one! ROFLOL!
I know how you feel about the jeans...The best thing you can do is buy some cute ones that fit for now, I think. Helps the self esteem a lot.
As far as pregnancy weight...Honestly. I think it takes 5 years to get back to "normal" for me at least. I was just getting back into a size 12 when I got preggie for Raechel! Now I am lucky to fit a 14 :( :( :(
