Well, Kade has just spent his second night in his room all by himself ! Both nights he slept 8 hours before stirring for a feed. It's great that his grunting in his sleep doesn't keep me awake anymore, but I really miss hearing his little noises that reassure me that he is ok. Yes, we have a baby monitor, but having that on and being able to hear him kinda defeats the purpose of having him in his own room because his grunting drives me nuts, doesn't it ?
His teeth moved back up again, though yesterday I could feel the top one a little bit. He is dribbling like crazy too. I hope that the tooth appears soon and doesn't take too much longer.
The colic situation is much better than it was, though he still has his days where no-matter how many times he burps, he still has one lurking in there somewhere causing him pain. Poor kid...I wish there was more we could do for him.
Speaking of Kade, he's just woken up so I'd better tend to him. Before I do, I just wanted to post this... I read Lawanda's blog this morning and she had this poem there...I think it was written for me and my second child, LOL.

Song for a Fifth Child
by Ruth Hulburt Hamilton
Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth,
Empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
Hang out the washing and butter the bread,
Sew on a button and make up a bed.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue
(Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
(Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
And out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
But I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue?
(Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

Awwww! In his own room! It is nice to be able to sleep a bit, I am glad he is getting a good night's rest! I hope the teething doesnt take long, but at least he doesnt sound too miserable from it! And that poem, I had to read it again and cry. :-p
Wow, already in his own room! Amelie is a year old but she still sleeps in our room!
