Had a good scapping weekend !

I've had a great weekend scrapping !! Last night (Saturday) Leanne and Tracy came over. We had dinner together and then scrapped. Kade was very well behaved but not at all impressed at being sent to bed knowing that we were all having fun without him.

Anyway, I made a spiral bound book to fill with photos of my boys, and I scrap-lifted Christie (from Paperdoll)'s mini birthday book (you can take a peek of Christie's book HERE). Mine isn't quite finished yet so I'll show you pics when it's done. As many of you know, I have the WORST memory in the world, and without my phone to remind me, I can't remember anything. When I saw Christie's cute little book I decided I should make myself one so I don't forget anyone else's birthdays *I hope*.

I also managed to do three digi LO's which I will print using Wendy's photo kiosk. I'm still experimenting with Photoshop and figuring out how to do stuff, but I think I've done pretty well for my first attempts. I used free kits and elements from various sources including Scrap Artist and Shabby Princess . I'm keen to do more, so if anyone knows of any good sources for kits, feel free to let me know. The stencil letters on Toby's LO were originally metal-look but I worked out how to change them to look rusted like the other elements on the page *yay me*.

The quote reads :

You don't raise heroes,
You raise sons.
And if you treat them like sons,
They'll turn out to be heroes,
Even if it's just in your own eyes.

~~Walter Schirra Snr

Oh...and for those who don't know, my unlawful dismissal case was settled prior to the concilliation meeting. I got the long service leave that I was owed, plus some compensation for loss of wages. Needless to say, I've treated myself to some goodies *yippee* (I reckon I deserve it for 15 continuous years of work !) and the rest will go on stuff we need and a family holiday.

Stay tuned for pics of my birthday book and my spiral bound book :)
