Only 2 sleeps left till my (big) baby goes to high school !
We went and got his uniform last week and waited in the queue for AN HOUR (thankfully mum had come over and was looking after Kade at home). On the way to the school Toby said that he had butterflies, which [as he said] was silly because we were only going there to get his uniforms.
Saturday night he laid out his clothes all ready. This morning he packed the necessities into his new bag and put everything else into plastic carry bags to be taken to school throughout the week.
I think he's pretty excited, but he's also crapping himself...
This afternoon he said that he was a bit whiffy under his arms even though he had only recently had a shower. I asked him if he had put antiperspirant on and he said no, that he didn't have any. I gave him the can I told him he could have several months ago. Upon spraying we discovered that he has started sprouting armpit hair ! (three at last count I think LOL)
Kade is driving me slightly insane at the moment. Yesterday he decided that it was quite fun to do a sort-of scream squeal. He did it most of the day, and again today while we were at the shops. What is it with people who give you dirty looks as if to say "shut that child up" ? I mean, SERIOUSLY people, don't you think if he had an 'off' switch or volume control that I'd USE it ??
Our little Prince also had his eighth tooth pop through last week. The next ones aren't supposed to be due until he is 16 months old, but I don't think that accounts for anything. He's still dribbling like a tap and chewing his fingers.
Nothing in our house is safe anymore. Kade is crawling around like a little machine and we've no way to contain him other than by putting him in his port-a-cot (which he loudly protests to). He can now stand himself up in there too; so he gets angry for being in there and starts jumping and then promptly falls flat on his butt, which makes him even more angry.
We're off to swimming lessons on Thursday this week, which should be fun. This first lesson is free, but I don't know that we'll continue on there as it's $59 per month, which seems a bit steep to me. I'm yet to find out how much other places charge. So anyway, because Mummy has to get into the pool with Kade, we're going swimwear shopping tomorrow with the hope of finding a snazzy little number that will hide all the lumpy bits. If I have my way, this will be Jodie and I :
Anyway, that's about it from here for now. I hope this finds you all well. Stay tuned for pics of my boy all dressed up in his 'big school' uniform :)
