Well, Elliot had his surgery yesterday. As far as we know it all went well -- he goes back to the plastic surgeon on Monday. The tendon was 100% severed. He was really scared, poor thing (he hates needles).
It was a long day for me. We had to book him in at 11:30, and they didn't wheel him off to surgery till 2:10. It was cold, rainy and windy outside and the car was parked in the furthest section of the carpark (always the way !!) and I really just couldn't be bothered waddling out there just to go to the local scrapbook shop for a look around, so I stayed at the hospital and read old magazines.

He came back from theatre at 4:10 and they let him go home at 5:30. I got him home and then had to go to Frankston Hospital for my midwife appointment. Of course, I could only get a parking spot in the furthest carparking area ! I went and got fish & chips for dinner on the way home and was finally able to sit down and relax when I got home. At 10pm I couldn't stay awake any longer and took myself off to bed.
Poor Elliot is really struggling with the pain today. He was up at about 3am in agony. They gave him Panadeine Forte for the pain, but it's not doing much, if anything. I know today is the worst day, so hopefully he'll be better tomorrow.

My midwife appointment went well. My blood pressure was normal, which was good considering the stresses of the day. The midwife said she thinks I will go early because there's not much room left in there ! She also asked if I knew what we were having, and when I said its a boy, she seemed surprised because he "has a bit of a girly heartrate going on there" (his heartrate was 148). I weighed myself today too when I was at the hospital with Elliot, and I have put on SIX KILOS since I was last weighed 4 or 5 weeks ago ! Still, I've only put on a total of 11kgs, so that's not too bad.
Anyway, that's all our news for now. Our baby shower is this Sunday and I am quite looking forward to catching up with everyone. I'll keep you updated on Elliot's progress.

Wow, poor Elliot! I hope he heals fast and the pain leaves quickly!
I think you look great, no matter how much weight you've put on... maybe cuz it is all in the baby area ;) Glad your appt went well! And have so much fun at the baby shower!

Ell's hand is MUCH better. He is still in a lot of pain but doesn't appear to be about burst into tears because of it like he was the other day.

OMG! Poor Eliott, his hand was much worse than expected. Tendon injuries are so painful, I hope he's feeling a lot better soon.
Sorry I can't get to your baby shower, Peter is playing footy and Chels has a party to go to, but I hope you have a fabulous time! :D
