Kids 'n cuts

On Monday Toby, Kade and I went to see Shae. It was a long drive (for me) but worth every second. Although she was very shy, Shae was clearly thrilled to see us, and we were just as excited to see her !! She had her friend Ruth there for support (thank you Ruth for being such a great friend), and it was Ruth who took these photos for us. I have more photos too but I've just not had the time to resize them yet.

Because I can only manage 2 passengers in my car + Kade we all walked up the street to have lunch together. Shae had a cafe latte, Toby had iced coffee (because I ordered that instead of the iced CHOCOLATE he asked for ~ sorry sweetie), Ruth had a strawberry thickshake and Kade and I shared a chocolate milkshake. Shae and Ruth shared a hawaiian pizza, and Kade, Toby and I had one with shaved ham, fresh tomatoes, cheese and olives ~ YUM.

I made Shae a little gift; a shrink plastic ring and necklace, and she LOVES them. They really weren't anything special, but I did make them just for her, and I truly put all my love into making them. When I spoke to her on Monday night she said to me that they are more special than gold *insert tears here*. So...to Shae, thank you for welcoming us back into your life. Now that we've found you we'll never let you go. We love you and we'll see you again soon !!

As you can see from the photos above, Toby is growing his hair. The other day he bought himself a HAIR STRAIGHTENER ! I'd never have thought my SON would buy himself a hair straightener LOL. Still, it's a good thing that he's taking care of his appearance I suppose. And his hair does look better straightened.

On Saturday we gave Kade a gift...a 'Little Tikes' ride-in car. It was meant to be a Christmas gift but Elliot suggested that we give it to him now so he'd get 3 more months use out of it. I agreed that he wouldn't miss not getting it at Christmas, so he got it early. Can I just say that he LOVES it is the understatement of the century ?! He HAD to eat his dinner in it on Saturday night and then wanted to sleep in it. He was so tired that we managed to get him to sleep in his bed with the car parked next to him LOL. I don't think he has played with any of his other toys since he got his car !!
