I just went to read Wendy's blog (Paper Doll Scrapbook Boutique) and found out I won the Sassafrass Lass prize pack that she had up for grabs !! To win, you had to post a comment on her blog. Funnily enough, my comment was that while I'd love the prize, it's not likely that I'll get to use it anytime soon (as if I have time to do anything for MYSELF). I visit her blog daily and comment almost as frequently, so I truly wasn't entering to win. Imagine my surprise to read that Wendy's son Harry had chosen my post number as the winner. The prize (I think) is 13 sheets of the gorgeous Sassafrass Lass papers that I have restrained myself from buying.
Well anyway...that just topped off my already great week. Read on...
On Wednesday Jodie, Nat and I took the kids swimming at the local swim centre. We all had a great time and are looking forward to making a regular thing of it by booking into lessons, or at the very least, going at least once-a-week for a splash. We sat in the warm kiddies pool and played with the kids and let them splash and kick. I put Kade under the water quite a few times and he didn't cough or splutter once ! The facilities were much more suitable than the other place we went to.
Toby seems to have settled into school well. He has his friend Zak over this afternoon to DO HOMEWORK (can you believe that ??? it's true !!), and tomorrow night he is having a sleepover at his friend Sam's house.
I have had a few enquiries from ladies interested in purchasing some of my Sizzix stuff. I sold 2 alpha sets a couple of weeks ago, so I'll be thrilled if I can sell the rest. I have everything posted on a few forums and decided to post on a UK forum as well. Not even 48 hours after leaving the post my message has had 265 views and I have had 2 enquiries.
And finally...I've got myself a job that I can do at home ! Can't say too much just yet until I check with the 'boss' whether I can, but it's doing something I love, in my own time. It's not a big money-earner, but a few dollars here and there is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick ! I am SO excited to have been given this opportunity and am really looking forward to the challenge. Stay tuned for more...
Kade has graduated from just standing and holding onto the furniture, to cruising along it. I can't say I'm ready for him to walk just yet, but I mightn't have much say ! He is a clever little thing and can clap hands, and has just learned how to shake hands (though he doesn't always do it on cue).
I hope you all have a great weekend :)
