I started this layout a couple of weeks ago at the Craft Attic cyber crop. Since having the Chrissy pics of the boys printed I have finally finished it. I'm pretty pleased with it :) (Click on the pic to open it larger in a new window)

For the scrappers...products used :
Bazzill, Basic Grey Fruitcake ~ Holly Berries, Misc Cardstock (ribbon slide), printed twill, Colorbox Fluid Chalk ~ olive pastel, Ranger Distress Ink ~ black soot, Stickles ~ icicle & xmas , Fonts are 'Teen' & 'Gentle Redhead', paper piecing is one I made for a swap a few years ago.
Layout is based on a Becky Fleck sketch (available HERE if anyone wants them) but I added another photo and flipped the position of the photos because of the blank space in the top right corner of the main pic.

Secondary College Orientation Day
Toby had his orientation day at the secondary college today. He said he had a good day, but I felt so awful for him because he didn't know anyone. As I was leaving the school his class was walking by and Toby was trudging along by himself. He made a couple of friends during the day (I knew he would but I still felt bad for him all day) and he will at least have a familiar face or two when he starts school next year.
He had some classes today and also a couple of tests (one being maths, I can't remember the other) so the school can assess where he is at academically I suppose. I know there will be a specialised maths class for 20 students who excel at the subject, so maybe the test was to do with that ? They also put on a BBQ lunch for the kids, which was nice.
While at the school this morning I also made a friend. She is the grandmother of a few kids, lives around the corner from us, and has offered to give me a couple of pairs of school shorts that she bought for her grandson which he never wore. She is refusing any payment for them, but it'll save us $70 !! I think I'll make her a card or something to say thanks.

You do the best layouts Cindy! The pics are fab, but the layout rocks. I love the paper piecing! It really looks cute on there. And I love the title fonts :)
Gorgeous layout as always Cin!!
Great find with the shorts too that was really nice of her to offer them to you :)
Love the LO Cindy! It really showcases those fabulous photos.
It's so traumatic to send our little cherubs off into the big world of secondary school. I'm sure Toby will be fine, he's such a lovely kid.
Keep smiling :D
see they look perfect! Absolutely stunning LO my dear!!! Wish you could scrap more often.
Can you pretty please share those fonts with me :)
Glad the orientation day went ok - its such a difficult time for kids.

Wonderful lo! The two look so happy together. I have to learn from you, Cindy, how do you find the time and energy to create to create with a new baby! I'm going crazy over here! LOL
Toby got your ability to make friends easily, it seems. Lovable and friendly people, the both of you :)
