On Sunday I made sushi (California Rolls to be specific) for the first time. For those of you going "EWWWWWW" -- I did not make or eat raw fish ! Sushi actually means "vinegared rice" or "seasoned rice" (depending which website you're looking at, and I am sure Miss Sylvie will give us all the correct meaning hehe). Sashimi is "sliced, raw fish" (and I did NOT make that !) -- blech.
Anyway...I expected to muck up the rolling of the sushi, but I didn't at all. I did really well, and the final product looked and tasted just like you buy at the shops ! I was so proud of myself. I actually think that the reason I did so well was that I was wearing Toby's 'Yu Gi Oh' shirt ;)
The whole process was quick and easy, and not at all difficult. I plan on buying lots of sushi-making ingredients when we go to the supermarket so I can make it for my lunch at work.

We wouldn't eat raw fish either, but love California Rolls... never made them though. Will have to try it one day. Love, CEME.
