Time for an update -- of sorts...

Well, it's been a while since I did an update here, and a lot has happened since my last post.

Firstly, Elliot's brother Stephen came over from England for a visit. It was the first time I had met him, and it was lovely to finally do so. They boys had a great time together and Elliot was very sad when Stephen went home. I have some photos of them playing intellivision together as they did when they were children (some things never change huh !), and apparently not much else has changed because Stephen still beats Elliot at the car racing game hehe. We hope its not too long before Stephen comes to visit us again.


Toby celebrated his eleventh birthday recently (Nov 10). We took him to an amusement-park-type-place on Phillip Island for the day the weekend before his birthday. We have some photos and some video of him going down the vertical slide. If I can work out how to put video on here I will post it for you to see.

We now have a working sink in the bathroom - yayyyyy !! Elliot worked like mad so that we could have it working for Stephen's visit. We also bought some timber blinds for the bathroom, and expect to have them up within a week. I think Elliot wants to do one more coat of paint on the windowsill first.


Finally....our biggest news (for anyone who doesn't already know) is that

I have been so ill with morning sickness that lasts all day, every day, that I have just not had the inclination to do very much at all (hence the reason our blog hasn't been updated). In the last week I have also added vomiting once or twice a day to the nausea, so basically, I am feeling pretty avererage. Hopefully, it will only be another few weeks and it will all be over.

We are all excited about our little bundle of joy, and while Elliot and Toby have put in orders for a boy, I am determined that we will only have a girl ! hehe We have had a browse through a baby name book, but I doubt that we'll short-list any names until we have an ultrasound and find out the sex of the baby. Even then I think we probably wont decide until the baby is actually born.

I went shopping with Mum last weekend and bought the baby some clothes. I had a $50 voucher for a department store, so I spent it on singlets, nighties, socks and summer grow-suits. We then went to another store where I found singlets for $2.49 each and winter grow-suits for $7.99 each, so I bought some of those too (it will be winter here when the baby is born).

Anyway, that's our news... I will try to put some more photos up as soon as I feel well enough to spend more than 5 minutes at the computer.

Oh, a HUGE "welcome home" to our friends, Catherine and Michael, who just moved back to Australia from the United States. We will catch up with you guys when you've settled a bit -- I can't wait to see you !!

And lastly... BEST WISHES and LOTS OF LOVE to my brother Brendan, and future my sister-in-law Bruna for their up-coming wedding. We hope your day is everything you dreamed of.
